Heritage Day at Willoughby Farm
First Saturday in May at Willoughby Heritage Farm in Collinsville
CARD brings the early 1900s to life during this event. This FREE event includes live demonstrations of weaving, quilt-making, yarn dying, as well as live bluegrass music and a big pig roast. Visitors will also celebrate the return of spring with nature tours, scavenger hunts, tractor rides, and garden activities during this family-friendly event.


Family Camp Out

2013 date to be determined
Willoughby Heritage Farm, 631 Willoughby Lane in Collinsville
Cost per site: $15 for the first tent; $7 per additional tent. Two-tent maximum per site.
Bring your tent and sleeping bags to the farm for this family camping experience. After setting up, enjoy a guided night hike among the trails. Bring hot dogs and 'mallows, and we'll get the bonfire started for roasting. Call 618-346-7529 to register before October 12.




Family Night

Families looking for a place to spend time together after Mom and Dad get off work need look no further than Splash City. Enjoy $5 off admission after 4pm and extended hours until 9pm. The concession stand will offer meal deals these nights. After 7pm, all children in the park must be accompanied by an adult.


Duck Races
2013 schedule to be determined
The Splash City Ducks return for another fun season of racing in Crystal Creek. Thursdays from 5-5:30pm receive a color ticket from our Guest Services Ambassadors; if the winning duck has the same color bill as your ticket color, you will receive a coupon for a special treat from the concession stand (redeemable the same day as the race only).  The Duck Races are fun to watch and fun to win…be a part of the Splash City fun!


T.G.I.F. at Splash City
We want you to wear sunscreen but on these Friday nights, you don’t need to worry about any blisters in the sun. Instead, just enjoy the entertainment while you’re rolling in the deep (end). If you’re feeling so inclined, you might even clear up this business about having moves like Jagger - that’s up to you. So wear your pumped up kicks if you want; but whatever you do, don’t be the one next week asking, “What happened last Friday night?”

Splash City’s Battle of the Bands
2013 date and time to be determined Splash City Family Waterpark
Admission is $5 per person.
Talented teens show what they’ve got at this event. The competition is open to teenage talent (band members should be 12-21 years old) and is held after hours at Splash City Family Waterpark. Admission to the event is $5 per person and includes the Battle of the Bands competition and full use of Splash City Water Park.
*Bands will need to submit applications and a demo CD with 2-4 songs, or the link to their MySpace or Facebook band pages to the CARD offices, 10 Gateway Drive in Collinsville, or e-mail the information to Shelly.

Wave Loch Flow Series 2012
2013 date and time to be determined Splash City Family Waterpark in Collinsville
Participants will compete in expert, amateur, or junior divisions for prizes with the expert division vying for prize money. Participants can compete in bodyboard or stand-up events. Competition entry fee includes admission to the water park. Contest is open to any competitor 48” or taller. Register that morning at Splash City. If you love the FlowRider-either riding or watching-you don’t want to miss this day.


Dash ‘n Splash 5K Run/Walk and After-Party

Take a dash and cool down with a splash. Start this fun-filled evening with a 5K run/walk around Eastport Plaza and then cool off and relax with a private party, dinner and music at Splash City. The party is open to friends and family members of those participating in the 5K run/walk.


SWISRA’s Night at Splash
7-9pm, Sunday, July 29 at Splash City Family Waterpark
Admission is $5 per person.
The Southwestern Illinois Special Recreation Association (SWISRA) and CARD hold this after-hours event annually for children and adults with disabilities and their immediate families. This private party is open to all ages and is a chance for individuals with special needs and their families to enjoy the water park.
Entrance is $5 per person.


Back to School Bash at Splash!

Admission is $5 per person.
This will be Splash City’s fourth annual Bash. Take a break and celebrate the last summer nights at Splash City before the kids are totally into school mode. Enjoy the latest tunes with a DJ and splash, swim, slide and play the night away! Embrace the last summer nights!

Breakfast with the Bunny

Hippity-hop to Ravanelli’s for this very special spring event. The entire family will enjoy a delicious hot breakfast buffet and each child receives a special gift and has their photo taken with the Easter Bunny. Registration ends March 8. This event sold out last year - don’t wait to

Monster Dash 5K Walk/Run

The Monster Dash is a great way to get into the Halloween mood. The 12th annual 5K race encourages participants to wear their fun/freaky Halloween costumes for a pre-race costume contest.

Awards will be presented for the costume contest, and to the top overall male and female finishers, and to the top finishers in each 5K running category.

Free refreshments will be available to all who participate
Sponsored by CARD, Metro Milers, Good Harvest Bread Company and Culver’s of Collinsville.

Fee: $15 per person before 5 pm on TBD and includes race shirt; $20 per person after that date, includes shirt while supplies last.

Fall Farm Day
For all ages
11am - 2pm, Saturday, October 5, 2013 at Willoughby Heritage Farm and Conservation Reserve, 631 Willoughby Lane in Collinsville
Bring your family and explore the history of Willoughby Farm with tours by Willoughby family members, check out the “poultry palace”, visit with the goats, rabbits and sheep, choose and decorate a pumpkin, snap a picture perfect photo among beautiful fall foliage, jump on the free wagon ride and enjoy live bluegrass music. Fresh pulled pork sandwiches from the big pig roast and other refreshments will be available to purchase.

Rock the Barn
7-11pm on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at Willoughby Heritage Farm and Conservation Reserve, 631 Willoughby Lane in Collinsville
Yee-haw! This isn’t your grandparents’ barn dance; we’ll be two-steppin’ to modern country hits performed live by Boulderdash, a four piece rock country group that has opened for Alabama, Kenny Chesney, and Brooks and Dunn. Enjoy the music while you roast free hot dogs and s’mores over a roaring bonfire.

Fee:
$5 per person (3 and under free); $20 maximum per family.


Hayrides ‘n Hot Dogs at Willoughby Heritage Farm
For all ages
Join us for an old-fashioned, country-style good time in the heart of town. The evening includes hot dogs and marshmallows for roasting, potato chips, carrots, drinks, hayrides around the farm, and a bonfire to enjoy!
